Does Cornell have an English as a Second Language (ESL) program?

Cornell's School of Continuing Education and Summer Sessions offers intensive English instruction, including the Summer Intensive English Program. For more information, visit the web site: http://www.sce.cornell.edu/.

The following programs are available:

  • Cornell's English for International Students and Scholars summer program is for native speakers of languages other than English. It provides full-time intensive English instruction as well as academic, social, and cultural orientation to the United States and its institutions.
  • The Cascadilla School

    Offers formal instruction for high school aged students and adults. Open enrollment in a two semester system.
  • Cornell Campus Club

    Especially for Spouses of staff and students. English conversation and grammar classes are held weekly.
  • The Intensive English Program was discontinued on August 2004.
