Cornell encourages its faculty and staff to find a healthy balance between work and personal life.

  1. Roundtable presentations focus on bridging differences, making connections
  2. Cornell named a top company for executive women by the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE).
  3. Office of Workforce Diversity, Equity and Life Quality provides leadership to the Cornell community in the areas of equal opportunity, affirmative action, diversity, and the "balance" between work and personal life. Develops Affirmative Action and Workforce Inclusion Plan.
  4. Manager for Recruitment and Diversity Recruitment in the Recruitment and Employment Center of the Office of Human Resources, identifies talented women and minority applicants.
  5. Qualified University Employees Seeking Transfer (QUEST) Program to develop and retain high quality staff and provide opportunities for advancement for a more diverse workforce.
  6. Skilled Trades Diversity Council aims to remove barriers for women and minorities entering careers in the skilled trades such as carpentry, masonry, electrical or plumbing.

  9. Social programming for diverse communities, including a multicultural reading circle, sandbox socials, and "sharing our world" luncheons and receptions. Recreation and wellness opportunities offered by the Cornell University Wellness Program.
