The Dalai Lama Visits Ithaca, October 9-10, 2007
Ithaca is home to the Namgyal Monastery Institute of Buddhist Studies, the North American Seat of the Personal Monastery of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. He will visit Ithaca to deliver three major talks. The Dalai Lama is known throughout the world as a leading advocate for world peace and non-violence. In conjunction with his visit, Cornell University is offering a series of events, including lectures, films, discussions, dance, Tibetan cooking demonstrations and exhibitions from August 31 through November 15.
