Sustainability

New ideas demand new architecture. The NYC Tech Campus has been conceived not only to sustain itself far into the future with minimal environmental impact, but also to act as a living laboratory, incorporating research by faculty and students into its design and operations over time. Interdisciplinary teams of architects, engineers, computer scientists, builders, urban planners, and others will use campus buildings to gather information and identify opportunities for additional innovation. This research will find its way into new and retro-fitted buildings throughout New York City becoming a foundation for technology-focused businesses and the commercialization of smart sustainability solutions here and around the world.
