The events shown on this page are a sampling of activities that Cornell sponsors on a regular basis. Events are annual and are offered at varying times throughout the year. All are open to the public.
Summer Institute for Rural Schools
The Summer Institute for Rural Schools brings together educators, students, parents, and Cornell faculty and experts in the field of education to improve the achievement of rural students through shared knowledge.
Educator Professional Development Day
Teachers (primarily K-12) come together to enhance their knowledge of the subjects they teach, stimulate new approaches to teaching, and better understand their students and how they learn.
4-H Connects Kids to Cornell
Annual 4-H events bring educators, volunteers and 4-H youth together to share knowledge, build skills and explore opportunities.
Expanding Your Horizons
A one-day conference for 7-9th grade girls to encourage their interest in math and science. Hands-on activities and meeting female scientist role models foster awareness of opportunities in math and science-related careers.
Judy's Day
An annual hands-on program that explores a unique nature theme. It takes place both at the Cornell Plantations and in local schools. Past themes have included corn, fibers, and underground.
