The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) was signed into law February 17, 2009. Research, research infrastructure, and education are slated to receive $17 billion dollars from federal agencies. Cornell University's research enterprise has received Recovery Act funds and will engage in research projects that lead to innovations and discoveries, help boost the economy by creating or retaining jobs, upgrade research facilities and equipment, and train the next generation of scientists.
