Task Forces

The following task forces were formed by President David Skorton and Provost Kent Fuchs to strategically plan and report out on their findings as part of the Reimagining Cornell initiative.

In addition, Cornell University has engaged a global consulting firm to work with the University Administration, as well as the administrative areas in the colleges and schools, on administrative cost reductions, revenue enhancements, and strategic planning. A report will be produced in late 2009.

Summary Reports

The following letter was issued by Provost Kent Fuchs on November 6, 2009:

This past spring, as part of the University's strategic planning efforts, we created 20 task forces to think deeply and creatively on how to reduce costs and enhance the University's academic excellence. These included task forces within each college, along with ones covering the Library, the Graduate School, Student and Academic Services, student enrollment and several cross-cutting areas. The membership of these task forces broadly reflected the faculty and other relevant constituents.
