Understanding Life, Improving Lives

The Power and Promise of Cornell Life Sciences

When biologists, physical and computer scientists, and engineers work together with tools such as DNA sequencing, supercomputers, and nanotechnology, revolutionary discoveries happen. The New Life Sciences Initiative is a university-wide, interdisciplinary collaboration to advance and support life sciences research and education. Why? Better medical treatments, safer food, and a cleaner environment.
