President Skorton's message of condolence

Dear Cornellians,

Yesterday evening we learned with sadness that we have lost a member of our community, Jade Woods Moore, in a car accident on Rte 13 North of Ithaca, NY. At the time of the accident Jade was traveling with her husband, Bill Moore, who has been hospitalized in critical condition. Jade was a graduate student in the Master of Public Administration program.

On behalf of the entire Cornell community, I wish to convey my sincere condolences to Jade and Bill's families, and to their many friends. Please join me in keeping them foremost in your thoughts in the days ahead as we mourn this tragic loss of life.

An opportunity to come together in memory of Jade will be organized in the days ahead, once her family has had time to express their preference. A community support meeting is being planned for her friends and colleagues within CIPA.

Sincerely,

David Skorton
President
