Message of condolence on the death of graduate student Bobby Mozia


Dear Cornellians,

I write to express my deep sadness concerning the death of biomedical engineering graduate student Robert Ifeanyi Mozia, Saturday, Oct. 22, in Ithaca of natural causes. I am told that Bobby, age 24 from Hackensack, N.J., was an upbeat and much-loved presence on campus, and he will be missed. On behalf of the entire Cornell community, I offer heartfelt condolences to his family and many friends.

Plans for an appropriate commemoration will be made in the days to come in consultation with Bobby's family, which includes a brother and a cousin at Cornell. Please join me in taking a moment to acknowledge and remember a cherished member of our community.

Funeral Arrrangements

The funeral for Bobby Mozia will be Saturday, Oct. 29, in New Milford, N.J. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11:45 a.m., and a Funeral Mass is set for 12 noon at Ascension Parish, 256 Azalea Dr., New Milford, NJ 07692. Following Mass, there will be a drive in caravan to Maple Grove Cemetery, 535 Hudson St., South Hackensack, NJ 07692.
