The Roberts Hall balcony offers a birds-eye view of the upper campus. To the right, Malott Hall was built for the Johnson Graduate School of Management in 1964. Now it houses the mathematics department and its 56,500-volume library.
Across the parking lot the Space Sciences building is visible. There, astronomy faculty and their students have been hard at work designing a rover for an upcoming NASA Mars mission.
To the right, Bailey Hall, with its 2,000-seat auditorium, has seen visits from comedian Dave Barry and the Dalai Lama. In the university's early days, Bailey's basement provided laboratory space for the plant sciences department.
