Behind A. D. White's former home, the Big Red Barn once provided shelter for the president's horses and carriage. Now it serves as a community center for graduate students, renovated to include an open floor plan, cafeteria-style dining, and lots of natural light.
On sunny days during the school year, students use the gardens between the two buildings for impromptu naps and study sessions and as a quiet place for a picnic lunch. During the summer, alumni rent the building and its lavish gardens to host their wedding receptions.
