Louie's Lunch, a truck equipped with a short-order kitchen, stands at the edge of the Balch lawn. Offering fast foods from noontime til 3 a.m., the truck has been a popular student destination since the fifties.

Across the street, the red-brick Risley Hall, originally constructed as additional women's housing, now serves as a co-ed program house for undergraduates interested in the creative and performing arts.
