Stephen Krasner: Can America Find a Grand Strategy?

Professor of international relations examines challenges facing the U.S.

The next president of the United States will face the challenge of forging a successful "grand strategy" that has been lacking in our national foreign policy, according to Stephen Krasner, professor of international relations at Stanford University and former director of policy planning staff at the U.S. Department of State. Krasner presented his lecture, "Can America Find a Grand Strategy?" on Wednesday, Sept. 17 in Cornell's Biotechnology Building.

Krasner's lecture is part of the Einaudi Center's Foreign Policy Distinguished Speaker Series.
