Provost for Life Sciences Steve Kresovich leads a panel discussion about the effects of cutting edge technologies on evolutionary research in honor of Charles Darwin's 200th birthday.

The panel included:

  • Andrew G. Clark, professor of population genetics
  • Carlos Bustamante, professor of biological statistics and computational biology & statistical sciences
  • William Crepet, chair of the plant biology department

The panel was held on February 9, 2009 in the Biotech building on the Cornell University campus.

Darwin Day is an annual, international commemoration of the birthday and ideas of Charles Darwin, a British naturalist born February 12, 1809, and author of the seminal book "On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection."
