Alan Mathios, the Rebecca Q. and James C. Morgan Dean for the College of Human Ecology (HE), discusses Middle States Accreditation, relevance of a Human Ecology education, collaboration with the Hotel School, attracting new faculty, and the opening of the new building among other topics.

The College of Human Ecology has pioneered the study of human life from a scientific and social perspective. Using a blend of academic disciplines and a global perspective, our students and faculty use their knowledge to identify, explore and develop solutions to problems facing people today in a variety of areas. Students learn not only to serve people, but also to understand and analyze the relationships and the institutions that shape their lives.
