Stefania Neonato, fortepianist and doctoral candidate in the Historical Performance Practice program at Cornell, gives a performance in celebration of a rare and valuable 1822 English pianoforte, restored in Trumansburg by Edward Swenson and housed at the Granger Homestead Museum in Canandaigua, NY.
Through live music, short interviews and slide projections, Stefania illustrates the various phases of the pianoforte's restoration, its history, and the meaning of the music meant for such an instrument.
