Is your student thinking about joining the Greek system? In this live video session, student representatives from the fraternity and sorority councils will explain the process, timeline and day-to-day experience of this mutual selection process. You are invited to submit questions for Q&A portion of the session.
The session will be facilitated by Travis Apgar, the Robert G. Engel Senior Associate Dean of Students for the Office of Fraternities, Sororities, and Independent Living. Student presenters will include: Connor Riser ’16; Interfraternity Council President; Andrea Kim ’16; Multicultural Greek Letter Council President; and Kendall Grant ’16; Panhellenic Council President.
The timeline for Recruitment is as follows:
- The Interfraternity Council (fraternities) and the Panhellenic Council (sororities) will host formal rush/recruitment events January 20, 2016 – January 27, 2016.
- Asian-interest organizations will host their formal recruitment February 1, 2016 – February 12, 2016.
- Historically black and Latin based organizations will host events throughout the spring semester.
Students interested in Interfraternity Rush or Panhellenic Recruitment should be sure to register through the respective council websites.
