Over the last 10 to 15 years, many large organizations have gone through a structural transformation of their HR function that has centered on redistributing HR work into three key HR groups: HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, and Shared Service Centers. Although many companies have made this work stream switch, we know that this structural change is not a one-time event, but rather a long-term journey towards enabling the HR function to deliver higher value to the organization. To this end, many companies have experienced issues with effectively implementing this new delivery model and have made unique adjustments to the model to make work more effectively in their context.

Professor Chris Collins will shares learnings and best practices for how companies have navigated their own transformation to enable the HR function to play a more strategic role and create more value. Brad Bell, director of the Center for Advanced Human Resource Studies, serves as moderator.
