Joe Lyons, director of the Cornell Annual Fund, came to Cornell as an undergraduate in 1994, majoring in human development/family studies. It was as an undergrad that Joe got his first taste of Alumni Affairs and Development (AA&D), working in the CALS AA&D office. The Annual Fund is an office within AA&D whose main focus in on broad-based outreach for donor support at the university and raising unrestricted dollars for the university. Listen in as Joe and Donna discuss the role of the Annual Fund and how it relates to faculty retention, hiring and trailing spouses among other topics.
