Mark A.B. Lawrence (tenor) and Bill Cowdery (piano) performed romantic works in German, French, English and Italian.

The recital included Liszt's "O quand je dors", Emile Paladilhe's "Psyché", Vaughan Williams' "Silent Noon", selections from Schumann's "Dichterliebe" (The Poet's Love), and songs by local composers Sally Lamb and Elizabeth Alexander.

The performers also presented two pieces by Nicholas A. Ascioti, which Mr. Lawrence recorded on the "Creation's Voice" CD, released in 2006.
