Despite important agricultural advancements to feed the world in the last 60 years, scientists and economists now show that global farming production has fallen behind real productivity by 21% – the equivalent of losing about seven years of farm production – all thanks to humanity hastening climate change. This according to research by Ariel Ortiz-Bobea, associate professor at the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management at Cornell University.
