Eliot A. Cohen, Robert E. Osgood Professor of Strategic Studies at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at the Johns Hopkins University, spoke at Cornell on April 1 in Lewis Auditorium, Goldwin Smith Hall.
Cohen, who served as counselor of the U.S. Department of State under Secretary Condoleezza Rice from 2007 to 2009, emphasized the development of good leadership skills, learning how to analyze situations, and to give advice. He also discussed the role of academics in the "the real world."
The talk was part of the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies Foreign Policy Distinguished Speaker Series.
