July marks the 23rd anniversary of the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). In recognition, we spoke with Susanne Bruyere, the Director of the Employer Assistance and Resource Network (EARN) and Cornell University's Employment and Disability Institute (EDI). EARN is housed within EDI in Cornell's ILR School.
In the video interview, Susanne discusses the ADA, its continued impact, and the work of the Cornell ILR School, including EARN, around disability issues.
Susanne holds a doctoral degree in Rehabilitation Counseling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and has extensive expertise in employment and disability policy; effective workplace and HR policies and practices; and disability management. She is a frequent presenter at major diversity and employment conferences, and has published extensively in a wide range of disability, HR and diversity journals.
