For this native Genevan, working in HR in her hometown is a privilege. Beginning her career at Cornell as an administrative assistant in horticultural sciences, Pat Mahoney quickly moved up and into an HR role at the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station (NYSAES), a self-sustained facility that occupies approximately 950 acres with nearly 300 employees.
Mahoney talks about her involvement with and the longevity of the Station's employees, the outreach provided and some of the new facilities, including the Vinification and Brewing Technology Laboratory.
Free time is spent with family and riding her motorcycle. Although Mahoney loves the thrill and the wind in her hair, she admits that she's not fond of the bugs in her teeth.
Staff Notes is a weekly show hosted by Gary Stewart. New episodes premiere on Thursdays.
