Cornell University's associate professor of architecture Jenny Sabin's latest work is a temporary outdoor installation that functions as a work of art and provides shade, seating, and cooling for visitors to the Museum of Modern MoMA Art PS1 in Long Island City, Queens. Lumen, Sabin's interactive knitted-fiber installation in the museum's entrance courtyard, was the winning project in the annual MoMA Young Architects Program competition.
