The last 18 months have been extraordinary, said President David Skorton, and possibly one of the most challenging periods in Cornell's history.
But in looking forward, all the evidence supports an outlook of "hope, optimism and confidence," Skorton said to about 400 staff and faculty members in the Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts' Kiplinger Theatre Oct. 12.
The annual talk -- Skorton's fourth -- was sponsored by the Employee Assembly.
