CHRISTINA: Hi, everyone. My name's Christina. I'm a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences and a student manager at Tatkon Center. I'm here to tell you guys about CU downtown, which is an amazing event we have planned in partnership with Downtown Ithaca Alliance, the Cornell Office of Community Relation, and TECAD. On Saturday, September 2nd from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the commons will become an open house of activities, featuring incredible performances from many of Cornell student groups.
Come check out break dancing, acapella, bhangra, juggling, and more, all back to back and all for free. Local merchants will have food samples, activities, and demonstrations, as well as deals, discounts, and coupons for the rest of the semester. You can discover downtown and see what else is around Cornell and the place you'll call home for the next four years.
Ithaca is a really unique place with a lot of character, from restaurants to thrift stores to boutiques. The commons is such a fun place to spend time, and there's no better chance to do so than by coming to CU downtown.
PAUL: Hi, I'm Paul. I'm a senior in [INAUDIBLE], and I'm student manager at the Tatkon Center. And what I'm most excited about is that we'll be featuring 20 of Cornell's premier performance groups from [INAUDIBLE] drumming to acapella. It's really a rare opportunity for students and members of the Ithaca community to experience a diverse range of performances all in one place and all for free. It's really not an event you want to miss.
PRISHNA: Hi, I'm Prishna. I'm a manager at t he Tatkon Center, and I'm also a dancer on Big Red Rass.
EMILY: Hi, I'm Emily with the Cornell Ukelele Club.
CLARENCE: Hi, guys, I'm Clarence. I'm a manager here at the Tatkon Center. And I'm also the co-captain of the Cornell Big Red Raas. On behalf of the Tatkon Center, we are so excited To see you downtown
