SPEAKER 1: Welcome to the Carol Tatkon center, an intellectual support and resource center designed to help students make the most out of their first year here at Cornell. We connect students with academic and pre-professional services on campus and host programs that allow you to relax and adjust to life in college.
We also have 24 student staff at the center, upperclassmen who have been through the first year experience and are eager to share tips, stories, and advice.
Hey, guys. I'm Jeremy, and I'm a student manager here at the Tatkon center. We open early and close late, while always having upperclassmen working the resource desk to answer any questions you might have.
Our passion is to help new students navigate Cornell, so stop by any time for some friendly advice or just to hang out.
SPEAKER 2: Think of us a discovery center. The university is a big place, but we can help you find whatever you're looking for. We have drop in services for academics, career counseling, professional development, or adjustment to life in college.
Our programs and our friendly staff are here for you for the entire year your first year, and we're more than happy to help you find whatever you're looking for.
SPEAKER 3: Hi. I'm [INAUDIBLE]. I'm a student manager at the Tatkon Center. As you can see, we have tons of programs here at the [? Tat. ?] You can find out about [INAUDIBLE] on our Facebook page or keeping an eye out for our newsletter in your inbox.
SPEAKER 4: Hi. I'm [INAUDIBLE]. I am a manager at the Tatkon Center. I really think the Tatkon Center is a great resource for freshman students because it's a home away from home. It's a great chance to kind of ask the questions that you're struggling with and get to know about our own experiences-- students behind the desk. We've been through everything that first years are all going through right now, so it's a really great way to kind of get first-hand stories and advice.
SPEAKER 5: Above all here at the Tatkon Center, we're a staff of 24 upperclassmen whose main goal is to help be a resource for first year students. So come on in to the Tatkon Center and ask us anything you want.
SPEAKER 1: Cornell is a big place, but our staff and our programs can be a home base for you to help you explore and make campus feel a lot more like home.
