Farm Ops is a program of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and Cornell Cooperative Extension that sets up New York state veterans for success. Created in 2015 as an initiative of the Cornell Small Farms Program, Farm Ops acts as an information clearinghouse, offering beginner farmers expertise derived in part from Cornell research and connecting them with resources to get the skills they need.
Logan Yarbrough is one of the veterans Farm Ops has helped. Yarbrough served as a staff sergeant and a light infantry squad leader in the U.S. Army from 2007-15. He raises goats on a 40-acre farm in Brooktondale, New York.
