Alex Susskind’s recent work provided consumers with calorie information to see how it impacted their behavior in the dining experience. They find that customers do use that information in making their choices, frequently choosing lower-calorie options, and that they appreciated it. As this information has become more widely required, the research confirms its usefulness.
