In the research discussed here, Professor Davis studies the effects of information withholding versus information disclosure on supply chain negotiations between retailers and suppliers. Findings suggest that suppliers may build beneficial trust by revealing their private cost information during negotiations, and that the negotiations themselves may be more efficient and cost-effective.
