In recent work, Bloomfield observes that in accounting, there isn’t much difference between business performance and moral performance; preventing fraud, corruption, and embezzlement can only have a positive effect on society. Moral accounting views everyone as a steward in society, and establishes a framework for steering society toward better performance toward stakeholders and workers alike.
